Wrexham 2-1 Chester
Wrexham survived a late scare against Chester to claim a derby victory in front of the highest crowd of the season at the Racecourse.
Danny Williams put the home side ahead on 11 minutes when his header squeezed under Chester keeper Paul Harrison.
Matt Crowell missed a penalty for Wrexham but Mark Jones doubled the lead with a cracker just before the break.
Jake Edwards pulled one back in the 89th minute before Paul Ellender missed a great chance to level from six yards.
